I have been a volunteer at the AWLA for a little more than 3 years and I have had found the organization to be committed to the welfare of the animals, the education and support of the community and the training and support of the volunteers. The training program for volunteers is well organized and varied, communication is outstanding with weekly emails and special communication when needed, opportunities for participation in special events and community outreach is available and recognition for volunteer hours and effort is often and very well done. The AWLA is an outstanding organization that actually lives their mission statement, and I'm very happy to be a part of their team.
