I first learned of PWNA through a Native American Church that I belonged to and worked for. This wonderful nonprofit organization supplied monthly shipments of many various food items as well as clothing, games and personal items for the church’s food pantry. Those donations to the church were so gratefully received by the Turtle Mountain Tribe and surrounding community in ND. I soon learned that the PWNA offers scholarship grants to Native American college students who study in Tribal colleges as well as to those who leave their home communities to earn degrees in other Universities. That support is so needed by students who are far from home, it helps to pay for high tuition costs and living expenses. The PWNA even sends the students thoughtful care-packages of treats and personal items to the college students it supports, one of which I am. The PWNA has supported me and many others from my tribe, we are very grateful to them!
