Review for Animal Rescue League of Boston, Dedham, MA, USA
I have followed the animal rescue league of Boston for years and have been so thankful for all the rescue and new homes they provide to not only dogs and cats but any type of animal. I started volunteering with arl this last August and I am hooked. I had rescued an elderly bulldog from a small rescue and they do not compare to what arl provides to the adopting families. I am floored with how much support arl gives adopters. Not only do they encourage multiple meets and greets but there is no adoption form. I think this is key as getting to know the potential adopter and seeing the interactions with the animal make for the best evaluation if this would be a good fit for both animal and human. They give supports and behavior classes after adoption as needed as well. Volunteering at arl has been such a wonderful experience. The shelter is clean, the staff are dedicated and greatly supportive for everyone to learn the best ways to care for our animals. I have learned so much about animal behavior and bring it home to my own doggie. I have seen so many animals rehab and find amazing homes. Arl is truly a wonderful shelter and the amount of rescues they provide on a weekly basis is crazy. Each and every staff member and volunteer truly love their role and animals. I am honored to be a part of arl and each animals journey.
