This is the profound and deeply moving mission that underlies everything the folks at Spikenard Farm and Honeybee Sanctuary try to accomplish with their loving partners the honeybees. The bees are the protagonist in the sanctuary's goal to awaken us all to the fact that the Earth and all Her biological systems are on life support. As the canary in the coal mine the bees are the carrier of this message. I have taken three of the four parts of PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF BIODYNAMIC BEEKEEPING. Learning the art and science of beekeeping from Alex Tuchman and Gunther Hauk gives one the conscious awareness that a new way of seeing our relationship to bees is of utmost importance if we are to help them and the whole earth survive. They accomplish this by thoroughly covering every aspect of biodynamic beekeeping in order for one, then, to become a successful beekeeper. I have kept honeybees for 20 years and this is the best training course I have ever taken. ~Graham Hawks
