Words are not enough of how grateful my family and I are with Operation Second Chance. Time and time again, they are always there when you needed them the most. To be able to experience skiing with the family at Liberty Resort was amazing, but the time spent at the Heroes Ridge with my family, with Cindy & Lexi, Katie and Tim, the volunteers, and the other Veterans and their family, were phenomenal!
Thank you OSC for this second chance to bond with my family when I almost lost them during my troubled and challenging times. Forever grateful.

At this very challenging time, Operation Second Chance, gave me and my family a great opportunity to enjoy, relax and bond for 4 days at the Lake House in SC! I am forever grateful to this program and to the 2 recreational coordinators, Lisa Lourake and Katie Sanders, for making this possible. Just being at the Lake House gave me a sense of peacefulness within. The quiet location, the water in front of the house is so relaxing and is a great therapy for someone who has a hard time sleeping. Again, thank you for those amazing 4 days!

Thank you Operation Second Chance for a wonderful 3 days of family retreat at the Wisp Resort! Also, a heartfelt THANK YOU to our hosts, Katie and Tim Sanders! They made everything possible to make this retreat an unforgettable one. It was an amazing few days to spend it with our family and the other veterans, sharing stories over dinner and in the slopes! I am a beginner to skiing but after 3 days of falling and great coaching from Tim and a volunteer, Greg, I was able to go up the trail on the lift for the first time in my life! My heart is bursting with gratitude for OSC and the Sanders for giving us an opportunity to create amazing memories with my family and the other great veterans. Thank you so much OSC, Katie and Tim!
