I have been involved with Kennedy-Donovan Center for many years as a volunteer and board member. I had the pleasure of serving on the board with Luella Hennessey Donovan (Our Founder). She believed that all individuals have the right to participate and thrive in their communities. Through the tireless commitment, passion, and dedication of our incredible staff, KDC continues to honor Luella’s legacy through leadership in providing flexible, creative, and community-based human services. I have seen firsthand the care provided by our skilled staff. We are the best kept secret in the community. It is amazing how many individuals and families we have supported, the stories are endless. Most stories include –“I do not know what we would have done without their services” “The staff member is a part of our family” “Our child would never have reached their potential or achieved what they have achieved without KDC”. The quality of our staff and their relationships with our clients is what makes us the best at what we do. I am proud to be a part of such a Great Agency.

Personally experienced – I have many friends and neighbors that have had in home support from KDC. In particular one of my friends gave birth to twins (son & daughter) her son was born with many physical conditions. KDC not only helped her son they helped the whole family. Her son is now five and doing well.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
None - Continue to understand the needs of the community and flex to their needs – this is why KDC has continued to grow. Keep up the good work!
