Review for Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), Washington, DC, USA
As a volunteer with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute since 2019, I am consistently impressed with the dedication of EESI's talented leadership and staff in bringing comprehensive, relevant information to members of Congress, executive agency staff, and the public across a broad range of critical environmental issues. Briefings produced by EESI with expert panelists, an excellent website, issue briefs and articles written by EESI staff, all provide the trusted information essential in the composition and consideration of effective legislation by the Congress. EESI staff also reach out to members of Congress by visiting offices to better understand their concerns and questions related to environmental issues. This is a fine organization staffed by outstanding people committed to their important work. EESI is worthy of the highest rating, and is certainly a great non-profit.

As a volunteer with EESI, I have the privilege of knowing the extremely talented and committed staff who are engaged in comprehensive research and writing, producing articles, issue briefs, and an informative web site addressing a broad variety of topics that come before members of Congress. Congress relies on EESI as a dependable source of non-partisan, objective information to help guide critical policy decisions that manage the nation's natural resources, and protect its water, land, the air we breath, and our global climate. As a volunteer with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute since 2019, I have had the privilege of seeing first-hand the outstanding, dedicated, and effective work of the committed team at EESI. The extraordinarily talented staff consistently delivers on its mission of bringing thorough, objective, and comprehensive information on climate, energy, the environment, and resilience to a congressional audience, executive agencies, state and local government officials, and members of the public through well-crafted briefings and publications.
EESI’s impact as a trusted source of accurate, relevant, and timely information extends well beyond its relatively small size. The organization’s On Bill Financing Program continues to make a powerful contribution to energy conservation around the country helping homeowners and communities make their homes more efficient. EESI’s intern program gives young people experience and a valuable start for some to careers in environmental and climate work, helping to train the next generation of committed professionals. The Environmental and Energy Study Institute is truly an exceptional organization that is certainly worthy of a five-star rating by Great Non-Profits.

Review for Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), Washington, DC, USA
Since joining EESI as a volunteer in the spring of 2019, it has been a privilege to get to know the staff and observe their exceptional, dedicated, and tireless work to promote effective environmental and climate crisis solutions. Under Executive Director Carol Werner's 21 years of outstanding guidance and leadership of the organization before her retirement late last year, EESI acquired a sterling reputation as a source of thorough objective information and policy analysis that Capitol Hill staff rely on to move environmental, energy and climate legislation forward. New Executive Director Dan Bresett brings talented leadership, extensive knowledge of the legislative process, and skills in guiding the organization to achieve its most effective and comprehensive work to bring information analysis to legislative staff and the general public. Spending time in the offices of EESI I have seen first hand an organization of extremely committed and very capable staff members completely dedicated to the task of making a difference in the energy, climate, and environmental challenges facing our nation and the planet. EESI is certainly worthy of the highest rating as a Great Non-Profit.
