The Sacramento Veterans Community Support Network was formed as a resource of information and services and contacts to veterans and their families in the greater Sacramento area. Our members are 100% volunteers and all funding goes toward the support of veteran services. Looking toward 2011, our group plans to hold "mini stand downs" at local VFW posts to help veterans with employment, housing, education, health, volunteer opportunities, and more. We are an official 501c3 and provide receipts for tax deductible donations. We appeal to the business community, other veterans, and individuals who are able and willing to donate time, money, and energy to help our group support all veterans. Please attend our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month, as listed on our website www.sacvcsn.org , and find out more about our group's resources and future plans. I have been a Board Member and Treasurer for two years. I have seen, firsthand, how valuable our members have been to many veterans, men and women, who have come home and needed direction and care. As with all 100% volunteer groups, our group needs donations to help with holiday gifts for children and adults, resources for homeless veterans, and help for veterans who are on the bring of losing their resources, homes, families, transportation, etc. We need YOUR help!
