A few months ago, I found a stack of "Teaching Kindness: A Handbook for Offering Humane Education Programs" booklets in a storage area of our school. I distributed the booklets to all classrooms as a resource about teaching kindness to animals. Then about a month after that I received information about The National Humane Education Society and that they could possibly come to the school to present to our students. I was very excited to be able to help bring this program to our school. We had a presentation for our PK-2 grade students and it was wonderful. Both Megan and Hailey were great with the children and presenting the material about being respectful and responsible to animals. I really appreciated that the material shared was age appropriate for the audience. While they were there other grades not present at the assembly wanted to make sure that they were coming to do one for them.
