My name is Javier Hinojosa and I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. I have always struggled in school; I have a learning disorder called ADD which doesn´t help me concentrate very well in classes. I never did very well in classes until I started to find out that I could do well with a little extra help from a teacher or a tutor. When I started struggling with paying attention at the American School I went to a smaller school where I learned better because I was in smaller classrooms and it was more of a one on one learning experience. I also attended the Gow School in Buffalo, NY which is a boarding school for young men with dyslexia and similar language based learning disabilities. I attended the Gow School for a year, it was a great year where I learned a lot, and it was there where I realized I could get good grades if I worked extra hard. The Gow School gave me a great opportunity that turned my life around in the academic areas.
