I 'm a 62 year old CEO who attended GOW for my 9th & 10th grades. In 8th grade I was reading at a 3rd grade level. My Father,Mother and I were told by my Junior High School councilor that I would really enjoy the industrial arts program at my local high school. My Father said "I don't think so". After a search, we found The GOW School. The re-constructive learning that I experienced at GOW allowed me in 2 years to move on to a more traditional college preparatory school for my 11th & 12th grades. One of the immeasurable things that GOW helped me attain was positive self esteem and self confidence. I was able to learn using allot of hard work and I knew I could succeed. GOW gave me the tools and I've been using them ever since. I went to and graduated from a well thought of mid western liberal arts college, in 4 years. I understand that the student teacher ratio at GOW today is the same as it was "back then" , 4 or 5 to 1. The opportunities to help are great and I think GOW's mission to help young men with dyslexia and learning disabilities has shown long term success and deserves support and recognition. The young men who attend GOW are very lucky, They may not realize it while they are there, but they will recognize their good fortune in the future.
