Three weeks ago we welcomed a new member of our family- a Yellow Lab from Labrador Rescuers. We had begun our search for a new dog several months ago and applied to 5 dog rescue groups. Labrador Rescuers was by far the best to work with. They were very communicative and transparent, which was not the case with many of the other rescue groups. Labrador Rescuers clearly wanted to best fit for the dog and family and shared a lot of information on all the dogs we were interested in. They would tell us if they did not think we were a good fit for a particular dog and recommend other dogs that might work out well in our family. They gave us medical history information on the dogs so we could have full information. They let us meet dogs and did not pressure us to make a quick decision. After a couple months, we found a great match and are so happy to have Lily as part of our family. Lily had some health issues when Labrador Rescuers received her as a turn in. Labrador Rescuers had taken her to the vet to resolve these before we got her and they did a great job getting her healthy. She was also kept in a wonderful home foster situation until she was adopted by our family. Thank you Labrador Rescuers for doing such great work caring for and finding forever homes for so many dogs- including Lily!
