People Working Cooperatively is a well-established organization with a proven track record of helping at-risk people in our community. My husband & I have financially contributed to the organization for many years and volunteered with his family at Prepare Affiar and Repair Affair. The Modifications for Mobility Program is a wonderful example of how PWC provides complicated home modification projects - wheelchair ramps, bathroom modifications, grab bars, etc - that are typically too expensive for the low-income, disable clients. This program is changing the lives of the recipents. One example is a Middletown family who has an eight year-old boy with cerebal palsy. Before PWC, the boy's family had to navigate getting him in and out of the house in his wheelchair as well as us the stairs. Beacuse of PWC, the family received an aluminum ramp and a first floor accessible bathroom and bedroom. The impact this has made on the family has been incredible.

talking with clients who have received the support as well as talking with employees who work for the organziaton and volunteer at the events - they are as passionate about volunteering their time to the clients they serve.

Help spread the word further to friends and family and the community about how PWC is helping people from all walks of life stay safely in their homes. PWC already does a good job of this but personally I would like my friends and family to help more than they do.
