I stumbled across Metta Rescue Family at a very difficult time in my life, I had just been diagnosed with a chronic illness and PTSD. I was looking for a companion to help me thru my difficult times and to be my furrever fur baby. Metta group carefully screened my application as they do all applications, and did a home check and we were on the road to finding my new fur baby. The first pup I fostered to adopt was not a good fit, but Metta respected and appreciated my honesty and they worked with me to find the right fit for me and my future rescue pup. Along came Sadie, she is amazing, I find myself telling everyone she rescued me, not the other way around. Sadie had some health issues when I first fostered to adopt her, but we all worked together and got her on the fast track to a full recovery. She is now a registered Emotional Support Dog, and I am forever grateful to Metta for bringing us together. This group of volunteers works hard to find the right placement for so many animals in need, their work should not go unnoticed. I am a better person because I am part of their rescue family!
