Hello My Name is Eric Halls I am gradaute of The Gow School 1982 and spent five years at this school. I am also Canadian citzen who came from another country because the program that Gow School offered was none like anywhere else. My parents exhausted there efforts local and regionally to get me help for my learning disability.To NO avail. My parents heard about the school through my parents friends and the rest went from there. Parents who don't know about THE GOW SCHOOL lose hope for there child. When I entered the school my parents had lost hope in other school systems. And after my first year the great grade results and immediate change in teaching methods offered so much hope for the future. School became like our own world, because we are all the same and suffer the same.Sometimes that very thing brings hope and then when the results come in showing improvements makes the hope became a reality. From that things like SELF ESTEEM ,UNDERSTANDING and CHARACTER BUILDING grows from that.And thats just as important as well, and we sometimes underestimate in the whole GRAND scheme of things. By the way I know because went through and I saw it come out of my own daughter!! I did finish there and did graduate from a world rowned University in Canada and proud of that, and THE GOW SCHOOL helped me achieve that. My own daughter Rosalie Halls was diagnosed with learning disability as child and has had to work hard and live through what I had. The school has summer program for girls and boys, this summer she was accepted and attendant it. She had tough time in the first two days, but again the atmosphere,the teachers, the volunteers the programs made her feel special and very welcome. She cried when she had to leave and to make it better she was ward the distisgushed honor as outstanding camper for the value's that THE GOW SCHOOL instilled on her from the first day!! Also I was not able to afford the whole summer BURSARY and she was a grant towards her schooling. I have been associated with THE GOW SCHOOL that has nothing but caring and giving attitude towards there education and well being and feelings of there students,parents and all the staff. That feeling is portrayed the minute you drive in to the school and when meet any one there. The school is a gem that should be cultivated and honored what it does for children. I hope if anyone is looking to put donation of any size towards a most worth place that they would seriously think about the THE GOW SCHOOL " Children are our future and thats investment we all should be concerned about " From Eric Halls Graduate of the Gow School " 1982 " and daughter who suffers the same and attendant THE GOW SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM. P.S. I am proud that I still invovled in the school to this day!
