Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee is an amazing non-profit with an inspiring and greatly needed mission. They focus on meeting unaddressed behavioral health needs in the community - a few examples include offering free mental health screenings and navigation, operating grant funded programs focused on specific vulnerable populations, and community coalition building to tackle systemic issues and barriers associated with behavioral health care. In my time as a board member I was astonished to see the growth in structure and innovative programs. The leadership team is top notch and some of the best community organizers I have worked with.
