I began volunteering at Sanctuary One over five years ago when I took my then 10 year old grandson out to the farm for a tour. We both took the training and have been volunteering ever since--and he is now fifteen! He actually enjoys mucking the barn yard almost as much as socializing in the cat cottage because he feels useful and like his presence matters. I have met some wonderful people that I wouldn't have otherwise have known. I love the three-fold goal of Sanctuary One.
