A wonderful non-profit with a great mission. They are currently working on many projects that focus on local wildlife, storm water issues, single use plastics, and trash cleanups. Save the Whales does education programs for Monterey County schools with an emphasis on South Monterey County. Education programs include "DEE", the 43' inflatable humpback whale, watershed model, and building butterfly gardens to help the western monarch butterfly population. The gardens while also be used to help teach proper storm water behaviors. I am proud to be a part of Save the Whales.
