Our experience with "Speak" began when we found their ad on the PetSmart adoption site. The pup that caught our eye was this Silver Lab appropriately named "Sylvie". The volunteers from Speak pulled her from a puppy mill- she was a mill mother that was no longer of productive use for the mill owners. (Grrrrr!) The person who pulled her- as well as some folks at the veterinary office they work with- said that she was very afraid of everyone and very unhealthy when she was pulled from the mill. In a few weeks the foster family and other volunteers worked WONDERS with Sylvie. She looked like a very healthy pup when I first saw her, and she's continuing to grow healthier. We've had her for a couple of weeks and she's really broken out of her shell- she plays like a puppy.

All of our dealings with the folks from Speak were pleasant. It was very apparent to me that in their minds, the needs of the dogs they care for come first. I would definitely recommend this group to anyone looking for a new canine companion.
