Speak is one of the best dog rescues I have ever had the pleasure of volunteering with. Very organized and everyone is friendly and has a can-do attitude. This rescue takes special needs dogs that other rescues won’t take that typically require more expensive and extensive vetting as well as longer time in foster care. Where others see the impossible they see the possible!

I had the pleasure of working with Speak to move over 20 dogs from a hoarding situation into their rescue in late 2019 as well as fostering one from that case myself for them. This rescue stepped up, stretched itself, grew its ranks, and mobilized like no other to help these special dogs. While most of the hoarding dogs needed help in socialization the majority of the dogs Speak for the Unspoken takes have medical special needs requiring costly vetting and long term dedicated foster homes. I have seen the 'can do' volunteers as Speak! step up time and again for dogs and cats that other rescues won't even consider because of the expenses and difficulties of their respective needs. Speak doesn't see the limitations and challenges, they see the possibilities! They also have a great community network for those that adopt from them. Great organization to volunteer with and adopt from.
