I set up a volunteer experience with Joshua's Heart for my team, we had about 24 people who came to help with food distribution. We had a great time helping the organization give food to people and learned a lot about food insecurity in Miami. We enjoyed our time with the organization and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to volunteer. They were very organized and fair in their distribution process and had plenty of activities to do up until the food distribution! Once it was time to give food, everyone had a role and interacted with the people. This was the best part! We saw who would be consuming the food and were able to chat as they chose their produce. We also liked that the organization gave healthy, fresh food to people, not unhealthy, processed foods. We had a wonderful time! We met everyone at the organization including the founder, which made the whole experience extremely rewarding. If you are looking for a place to volunteer, choose Joshua's Heart, their mission is very inspiring and their impact is huge. Without them, the community would not be the same. I would recommend working with them to anyone, as they were very helpful and open to ideas, along with being very accommodating and patient.
