I joined this board in 2005. I wanted to become connected with an organization that had real and positive impact on the lives of children. At the time I joined I was excited about the results the program gets and how simple it really is. Research has shown that the two and three year olds that go through the program graduate high school at that same rate as their middle class peers. The organization and the individual sites have wonderful, talented and smart people who work joyously and passionately to bring the love of the reading and learning to disadvantaged children. It has been a privilege to work with the National Center Staff. Their yearly conference with speakers who are the leaders in Early Childhood Development have been professionally and personally enriching!!
