My experience has been a very positive one. The most frustrating thing that I have found when contacting a rescue is that you don't hear back from them even if it is just to send a quick note to say, "no" or "we don't have the room." I do understand that they can become overwhelmed with messages, but at the same time, they should get back to you somehow to let you know what is going on. With Arabian Rescue Mission, Terry, followed up by getting back to me with every question I had. She is very knowledgeable about the breed and is also an honest person which is a hard trait to find in people these days. I highly recommend this non profit!

There are no words to describe how Terry went above and beyond to help me buy a beautiful chestnut mare that I have wanted for over 10 years! Originally, this special mare was bought from the same breeder as my mare. These two mares grew up together on this farm. When it came time to buy my first horse, I could only purchase one. I bought the bay (Sweetie). I was hoping in the future I would be able to buy the chestnut, because I loved her too. Six years later, the chestnut mare was sold. Needless to say, I was very upset. I later contacted the buyer in hopes I could purchase her. Again, I didn't have the money to do so. Another four years went by and we lost contact. Later on, I found out the mare was sold. I was very upset and was thinking where she may have gone. I then searched all of the rescues looking for her. Finally, after a few months, I found her! She was with Terry who had purchased her from the previous owner. Needless to say, I was ecstatic! Terry was so kind to me as well as professional! Before I was able to purchase the mare, Terry made absolutely sure she knew who I was & where the horse was going. I was very impressed by this, knowing that she sincerely cared. In addition to this, she emphasized the fact that If I was to rehome or was not able to take care of this horse , she would need to know who the new owner was or return her to the rescue. By her saying this to me, I was deeply moved that she would take the horse back.
From start to finish, Terry took me through each step to buy Mystic Magic. She always kept me informed as to what was going on and what she needed from me before the mare was to be transported to Colorado. She is an awesome person and Arabian Rescue is an awesome place! Sweetie and Mystic Magic are together again! Thank you so very much, Terry!
