Shabbat dinner has always been a meaningful time for me. I did not grow up with the tradition but cherished the times that I was invited to friend's houses to feel a part of the Friday night warmth and love.

Now that I am older and have a space I can invite others into, hosting Shabbat dinner is one of my favorite things to do. Without OneTable, however, I would have no way to open up my home to new faces or to afford enough Kosher food for everyone to leave satisfied. The nourishment funding has been absolutely critical since I have a Kosher kitchen and a Research Assistant's salary is not one that allows for self-funding a Kosher, home-cooked meal for 10.
