Review for Changing Lane’s Foundation, Inc, Suwanee, GA, USA
I am a single mom with 2 kids and I work full-time. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I had a few surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. When I was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, I could not work my full 40 hours a week. I was nauseated, sick and very weak. Going to the grocery store was not an option much less actually cooking dinner. The Changing Lanes Foundation stepped in to help. Some volunteers including the founder, Deborah brought me lots of already prepared food for me and my kids. I didn't have to worry about my kids having something to eat if I didn't feel like eating or cooking. At Thanksgiving, there was a husband and wife from the Changing Lanes Foundation that volunteered to cook and bring my family a whole Thanksgiving meal - turkey and all the works! The Changing Lanes Foundation was a blessing for me and my family through this time! I could concentrate on fighting the breast cancer and getting better. Also, they still keep in touch with me to see how I am doing and to see if my kids or I need anything.
I am proud to say that I beat that battle with breast cancer! Matter of fact, I am a 4 time cancer survivor - 1 Hodgkins Disease and 3 Breast Cancers !! I thank God, my family, my friends, my church and all the volunteers from the Changing Lanes Foundation for the love and support to get me to where I am today!
