My daughter has a 'gap year' between undergrad and professional school and in looking for something meaningful to engage in she found out about a Direct Service Professional position at Humanim. In that role she provides classroom instruction and coordinates excursions for persons with physical and mental developmental disabilities. She has found a unique joy in working with a team seeking to maximize the abilities each client. She says some days are hard but everyday is special :-).
