I'm a long-time volunteer for Meals On Wheels Of Central Maryland. Meals on Wheels is very organized and effective, and knows how to use volunteers without taking more of their time than necessary. It's great to be able to help disabled and older people continue to live independently in their own homes.

This is a really good organization that supports the regional filmmaking community and helps give women filmmakers an equal chance.

WIFV-DC provides great support to film-makers in the mid-Atlantic region. They have excellent on-line and in-person educational and networking events. Their list serve is huge -- with lots of benefits. I've gotten jobs there. It's easy to get questions answered and recommendations.

Most aspects of film and video production are highly male-dominated. WIFV-DC provides a forum to support women while also inclusively being open to men. It is also one of the few active area organizations serving the film and video community, providing networking, information and support for the industry.
