My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Arizona Hemophilia Association Inc, Phoenix, AZ, USA
I worked for this organization on a temporary basis and was shocked to learn they kept prescription medication (factor) on hand to give out to people who could not afford the medicine. The medication they kept in their office refridgerator was typically past the "use by" date because it was donated by volunteers who had access to fresher medication. When I questioned the safety, I was told, "It should be good for nine months after the expiration date." There was no pharmacist, nurse, or physician on staff. The medication was just handed out by adminstrative or program staff. I do not know if they still keep factor on hand to give out, but I sure hope not!

Review for American Cancer Society Inc, Phoenix, AZ, USA
I interviewed with this organization in Phoenix, Arizona and the executive who talked with me wanted to know my astrological sign. When I told her my sign she made disparaging remarks about people associated with the sign of Aries.
