Review for Interfaith Community Shelter Group Inc, Santa Fe, NM, USA
This is the worst shelter in which I have stayed, and I have stayed at shelters in many regions in this country. Joe and Sue present a facade of being concerned about the fate of the homeless, but in actuality, they perceive the homeless as their meal tickets, and don't even think of them as human. In turn, that makes us homeless question their humanity.
They allow their staff to abuse guests, their staff barring guests arbitrarily on whims, making new rules as they go.
Santa Fe freezes by November. This doesn't make them lose sleep as they kick out rule abiding guests who dare challenge corrupt and abusive staff.
I've been trying to find a body that oversees non profits in New Mexico. There isn't such body, but there needs to be one desperately because the most vulnerable in New Mexico, the ones seeking shelter, are violated on a daily basis by the ones charged to give them refuge.
Trying to contact the board of directors is futile; they won't return your call. Interfaith needs to wake up and hire INTEGROUS, HUMANE, persons of character, i.e., NOT JOE AND SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
