Feral rescues are a important yet under-served reality of our world. Often these cats are subject to the very harsh realities of the world and most seemingly turn a blind eye (and focus on other things - the "nicer" and much more "easier" part of the cat trade).

All while these poor feral cats continue to try their best to survive in a very difficult life (the extremes of mother nature and the at times, brutal realities of humans).

The Community Cat Coalition greatly helps these poor kitties. From feeding stations, to humane trapping, providing medical supplies and procedures if needed, to providing shelter (and supporting those that do), to the ever heart warming adoptions.

These group of volunteers go through so much, tirelessly, and often without (nearly) enough thanks or gratitude try and do their best for the seemingly ever increasing population of ferals (two words - "kitten season").

One of the most passionate people I know, is my dearest friend, Kim. I have seen the lengths that she has gone to provide the best care (and love) that she can to the beautiful cats that has been blessed to fall under her care - I adopted two Feral Rescues from her to join the other formerly feral rescue cat that's already part of my family. She tirelessly brings food around to folks that need it, makes sure that the cats are healthy and taken care of (and does all that she can to make sure that they're healthy), and helps find them good homes (and believe me when I say, with each cat that goes to their forever home, a piece of her heart follows).

The CCC has other wonderful volunteers who are passionate about what they do. There's a network of people and places that help them as well. But most of all, the CCC serves a group of cats that is still largely under-served (and at times, unwanted by most) - which is a great pity, because they possess the greatest capacity to love.
