I have worked with New Leash on Life USA as a volunteer and as a communications consultant. Not only is their mission so valuable and the impact is measurably big -- the people who work for New Leash on Life are so dedicated to changing the lives of people and dogs. They are the real deal. I have interviewed some of the people who have gone through the program, and every single one tells a story of transformation. Their lives have been forever changed -- for the good. There is long-term impact because people leave this program and get jobs. That is not easy for people just re-entering their community after serving time incarcerated.

The dogs? They are not only rescued, trained and loved by their trainer, but they are also then adopted by families who will give them a good life long-term. The stories about the dogs and the families who adopt them are also incredible. There are few programs i have worked with that have more impact than New Leash on Life.
