I first learned about the CCC in 2014 when I needed help/education on trapping a feral boy that showed up at my house. The local rescue I contacted told me they would euthanize him if Feral as he would be un-adoptable and I was floored and beyond pissed and that would not happen under my watch/control, so they actually put me in touch with Kathleen (volunteer for the CCC). Kathleen educated me on trapping, setting up the trap, setting up the hold cages and then loaned me everything as I had nothing. Long story short, I got the feral boy (Mr. Boo) and he’s been living indoors with me ever since. Kathleen was the reason I didn’t let my involvement with the CCC stop with just trapping Mr. Boo - I wanted to continue to do more for these abandoned cats. Since September of 2014, I have had many rescues that have come through my doors and happy to say, all have gotten fabulous indoor only homes (even if feral, you heard that right) and still rescuing.
