SPGPC is a terrific Rescue that I volunteered at a few years ago. While there this pup came in, Pam said this pup needed to go home with me. We Had just moved and I wasn’t ready for a puppy. But we took our male Pyr to meet her and everyone fell in love with her! So, we brought her home and named her Chloe. She was nervous at first but settled in nicely.
We lost Chloe to cancer two weeks ago after only having her for 5 short years. But boy was she a treat! She was a nanny to the grand babies, cared for baby chickens, helped raise a litter of kittens, and smiled all the time! She was quite a little imp... when she slept she looked like a pretzel - all twisted up... or she napped on her back against the hallway wall like someone just tossed her there! Always ready for a snack or a walk or a nap! What a great match she was for our family!
This Rescue works hard to save the lives of these gentle giants, the Great Pyrenees. Pam and her crew of volunteers are diligent in placing these dogs... a Pyr is not for everyone and they make sure people know what they’re getting into. A very top notch Rescue!
