Sunshine Horses offer an excellent experience for volunteers. I have volunteered with them for 6 years. I have learned so much about horses, myself, and the people I work with. I am so inspired by the volunteers' love, dedication, and commitment. Working with horses uplifts your spirit and gives you the feeling of great accomplishment. Learning is always ongoing as you learn how to care for horses and become aware of the health problems they can encounter. Seeing them get adopted and find their forever home is joyful. I feel lucky to have found Sunshine Horses and appreciate all I have learned and the friends I have made.

I love Sunshine Horses. What a great organization. I started with this organization about a year ago. Working with horses is wonderful and the volunteers are so committed to caring for the horses. The volunteers are all ages from young children to retired folks. The work is very rewarding. Everyone works as a volunteer and no one gets paid a salary. All money donated is spent on the horses and the farm. We take care of 32 horses. We rescue, rehab and retrain horses for adoption. Most of the horses are retired race horses and some come from kill pens and amish farms. Some are in pretty bad shape which is so sad to see. Sunshine builds them up and the transformation is amazing. That is what love does.
