Review for Project Hawai'i, Inc., Kea'au, HI, USA
I was asked to share my story of what Project Hawai’i, Inc. Has done for my family over the years. We live in tent along the Wai’anae coast for years. Our family has been homeless since I was 5 years old and then I have my own family now with 2 children. My children can’t wait until Aunty and uncle come to see them and bring them the things they need. At Christmas they get so many things that I can not afford and they need so much. They get new clothing and new shoes foe school. Santa always brings their favorite toy and just want they want. My children have a better life and are happy because of these two people who never forget to come and see us. Living homeless is not easy for the children and I can’t get a place to live but my children are happy because of Project Hawai’i, Inc.
I am glad when they asked me to write my story and help others to understand how important this program is. I wasn’t sure why my story is important but lots of families out here on the beaches count on the hygiene they bring, the meals and the support. They even bring a tent or a sleeping bag whatever we need. They never tell us no. They always have something for the Keiki and help all the time.
