I've been following Julie's work in Guatemala for almost twenty years - including six trips to Xela to visit the project. It's totally astonishing what she has been able to achieve for so many children. There have been 3300 scholarships provided; nearly 1600 children helped in the after-school tutoring program; 165 high school graduates and 20 university graduates. Aside from the work with the children, last year she provided steady employment for 54 workers - cooks, tutors, managers. 13 previously illiterate women now have achieved 6th grade diplomas. I'm so proud to be associated with this amazing project.
