Review for Skip To My Lupus, Inc,., ELGIN, SC, USA
Tamara Raja and her staff are more wonderful than words can express. When they were in Augusta, Ga. they would come and talk to the students about Lupus and on career day they would cone and ate up a table to give away information to students and parents about Lupus and it's warning signs. I know of several parents, including a couple family members of mine who were screened and diagnosed because of the information shared. This organization's may have saved some lives. They also helped many once diagnosed. One student stands out. She was in 8th grade and had lupus for about 5 years. Tamara met her on one of her trips to my school and had the chance to sit and talk to her one on one. That young lady is about to graduate college now, and Tamara has followed and helped this young lady all the way. That is the type of love and care they provide. I, thank goodness, was not found positive for Lupus, but I do have kidney disease and diabetes that require dialysis and insulin. This organization has even helped me at times with medication. Tamara has come to the hospital in Augusta personally, on several occasions, when I was hospitalized to assure I was doing well. A couple of times she had to be my advocate and get on my doctors and nursing team about my care. When I am able, I volunteer a little and a little financial donations and feel it not robbery because they have done so much more for me! Her home, her heart, all have open doors. I thank God for this family of loving people. All with their own ailments and issues, but still enough love love, concern and compassion to take on other's as well. God's continued grace and blessings to my Skip-to-my-Lupus family. I love and thank you more than words can say! And on behalf of the Richmond Co. School System and Sego Middle School students, parents, faculty and staff...we thank you!
