I have been a board member of Amal for a little over a year. For an organization so young, it has made tremendous progress and the founder deserves special praise. I am yet to come across a not for profit which is so structured, organized and has taken such rapid strides in such a short amount of time. Amal is a mission-driven force which is taking a holistic approach to empowering displaced children employing the incontrovertible but oft neglected mind-body holistic approach to healing and development.
