Review for JANUS SCHOOL, Mount Joy, PA, USA
Having been a trustee of The Janus School since before it's official opening in 1991, I have seen first-hand how the vision, generosity, hard work and dedication of the "founding mothers" of the School (the moms who refused to allow their children to be consigned to failure and who had the tenacity and determination to establish a school for kids with learning disabilities in Central PA) became a reality, a safe haven for kids who would otherwise have fallen through cracks or failed, and a community resource which has elevated "best practices" for educating these types of students throughout Central PA, and a leader in the field of learning disabilities. I have experienced the profound satisfaction of witnessing families who are suffering and children who have been beaten down by failure become transformed after coming to Janus, where a talented and dedicated staff develops an individualized plan tailored to each student's needs and differences, and helps the student and thier family to understand and cope with their learning differences and develop strategies for success.
