By delivering hot and cold food on a daily basis, Meals on Wheels provides a vital service to those unable to provide for themselves. As a volunteer I have been privileged to participate in this unique service. We deliver food that is nutritious and often geared specifically to meet the dietary needs of the individuals involved, e.g. lactose free, gluten free etc. We try to be cheerful and supportive to people who are often alone and lonely and respond positively to the personal interaction which our deliveries bring to them.
