Review for iACT, Redondo Beach, CA, USA
I had the privilege of traveling to the Chad- Sudan border with iACT twice in 2015, working as the Darfur United Coach Ambassador in refugee camps Goz Amer, Kounoungou and Mile.
I was able to see firsthand the amount of care, groundwork, support and collaboration that goes into every program iACT implements. From early childhood education to youth soccer programming, the organization takes a holistic approach to providing humanitarian assistance that is disrupting the status quo of traditional top-down models of humanitarian aid.
iAct's true superpower lies in the trust and long-standing relationships they've built with refugee populations on the ground over the last decade. They continue to show up, listen, collaborate, adapt and and co-create in any and every way they are needed. iAct is an amazing heart-driven organization that works to create lasting and sustainable change in they lives of so many. They deserve so much recognition and support -- I am forever grateful to have worked alongside this organization!
