WOW! What an incredible mission! I have had such a great time volunteering with MMIA. I went and delivered furniture to a previously homeless veteran who literally had nothing in her apartment other than an air mattress. She cried and we all cried. She prayed for us and we prayed for her. It was truly an amazing experience. I've been down with them to the homeless veteran stand downs where they hand out shoes, clothes, food and hygiene items to homeless people. MMIA is truly on the ground running in NC and they are meeting people right where they are. They are making a difference!
