I volunteered in Peru for 6 weeks with FNE International. My experience was better and went beyond on what I had expected. I was supported with everything constantly and did not feel I was just left alone in the unknown to me country. Michael, my main point of contact, was always available with support, suggestions and help on just about anything. I think if you are looking for a true volunteer experience and want to stay away from the trap of volunteer tourism, this nonprofit is definitely worth connecting with.
