I absolutely love everything about the Seed Bank. I work at the Cleveland Public Library, where we have a Seed Library. I did not know about it before seeing it here. I love that the seeds are free here, not only for myself but also for the community, as there is the opportunity to generate food at a very low cost. And of course, I found that growing plants from seeds is super-fun and rewarding! And the veggies taste 1,000 times better than grocery store veggies. I really hope more people will take advantage of this program. I am always very happy when I am at a location with a Seed Library and people "check out" seeds. It is a real blessing to the CPL patron base, often from low-income areas. It is also great to promote eating healthy foods like the seed veggies, another issue in our patron communities, where often there are limited healthy food choices available or healthy foods are too costly to buy.
