I'm so sad that this covid virus has limited my visits to see the animals this year. I am so thankful I was able to get there a couple time. This is my favorite chicken and my favorite cow. I just love all the animals. And I really love how clean everything is and happy the animals are and I can just see how much they love the people who take care of them everyday. That tells you right there what a wonderful place it is. I hope next year I can get back to visiting a lot more often.

I just love Rikki's. I travel over 200 miles a couple times a month to visit and volunteer. I love bringing my friends. The animals are so much fun, so happy and well cared for. Just being with such wonderful people and wonderful animals makes me happy. I've been visiting for about 18 years now, when I retire I want to move closer so I can be there more often. I visit lots of animal places because animals are my heart, but this is my most favorite of all !!

The photo is Volvo. I was visiting when he came in to Rikki's. I didn't see how he could possibly survive his injuries. I watched him heal, I watched the therapy he was given for a traumatic brain injury, I watched him turn from untrusting and biting his care givers to a loving trusting very very happy cat !!! That just fills my heart with joy. I know most of the animals have this kind of story at Rikki's. But Volvo is my special boy because I was there and I saw how his life at Rikki's began.
