My subdivision experienced several break ins within about a weeks time a few years ago. That prompted a lot of us to attend a training provided by Columbia Neighborhood Watch and we organized Blocks in our subdivision. It improved communication and encouraged people to watch out for one another. We also received the signs on the street posts which I feel has been a deterrent to help lower the crime in our neighborhood. A short time later I joined the Board and am currently the VP.
