Review for Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, Wexford, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The SCA Foundation is an absolute Godsend. In 2012 I experienced an out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest. Waking up to worried loved ones, the SCA Foundation provided us all a safe space for accessible, factual information.

Our learnings in those first few days were vital in becoming champions of my continued care.

All these years later, the SCA Foundation remains to be the leading provider in SCA related information, advocacy, and education. I'd go on for days, but I encourage everyone reading to seek out a deeper knowledge of SCA.

SCA is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Approximately 356,000 people of all ages experience EMS-assessed out-of-hospital non-traumatic SCA each year and nine out of 10 victims die.

^ That is the scary news. The GREAT news - everyone has the power to save a life with early intervention in the form of CPR and an AED. I genuinely hope that you (the reader) equip yourself with the free knowledge/resources from the SCA to become a life saver.

The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation is an absolute gem among the non profit world! There is a tiny but mighty crew that serves a growing GLOBAL network of sudden cardiac arrest survivors, loved ones connected to SCA, and super heroes striving to create more lives saved from SCA.

Through faithful stewardship of Mary Newman, the SCAF helps to educate, inspire, advocate, and champion more lives saved. The organization has grown year over year in its impact and outreach. Presently, the SCAF is changing lives across the globe and helping to lead an otherwise underserved industry in a meaningful way.

Whether you are a seasoned volunteer, or a loved one seeking answers - the SCAF welcomes all into a growing community of advocates through personalized, empathetic connection. As aa survivor and volunteer - I cannot say enough to express my appreciation for this fully necessary non profit. THE SCAF is the GOAT!
