As a parent volunteer and retired police officer, I have seen SonRise fulfill a necessary role in assisting parents with developmentally disabled children and teenagers. SonRise shows kids they are cared for and loved not only by others, but also by the horses there at SonRise. It is a joy to see how young people are able to establish connections with the horses they have contact with. The teenage young adults I work with have much potential and it is a pleasure to see how fast learn and how much they can accomplish.
