Review for Diveheart Foundation, Downers Grove, IL, USA
My family has been involved with Diveheart for just over a year. It is the most wonderful, life-changing organization that we have ever been involved in. My husband and 13-year-old son are dive buddies and I help out where I can "on land". Diveheart has opened our hearts in the most amazing ways. My husband lights up when he works with the children and beams with patriotism when he works with the vets. I have seen my son mature ten-fold since he began volunteering with Diveheart. My son even organized a fund raiser( mostly by himself )that raised more than $1400 for Diveheart. I, myself, never imagined that I could ever dive. I have a major phobia about being under the water. I was so inspired, however, by Erica (a blind and deaf participant) that I just recently got my open-water certification. Diveheart not only changes participants lives, it also has a profound effect on the volunteers. Anyone who becomes involved with this organization will benefit in ways beyond words.

Diveheart is wonderful - I hope that every person that faces special challenges has the opportunity to experience diving with this organization and is empowered with all the possibilities of things they CAN accomplish.
