I began volunteering with Moments of Hope about a year ago. I went with the expectations of helping those less fortunate. What I didn't expect is how much the guests who come to the pantry each week would help me. As the guests select their pantry items each week, many comment that they only need a few things so that other guests will have enough. Many share how thankful they are for such small things that we take for granted each day such as a full sized box of cereal or fresh fruits and vegetables. These experiences help me to appreciate the little things life has to offer that I would have taken for granted before becoming involved with this organization. Moments of Hope is a beacon of light for the guests that are served as well as for the volunteers that help keep it up and running. The dedication of the pantry leaders is second to none and every decision is always made with the people who are being served in mind. I am blessed to be a part of Moments of Hope.
